Welcome to the place where your two bloggers ask each other one question each week. We hope you enjoy them as you learn a bit more about us – sometimes we even learn more about each other!
Ray’s question to Karen:
Q: We’re right in the middle of apple season – what is one of your favorite things to make with apples?
A: My favorite thing to make with apples is the Fresh Apple Cake with Caramel Frosting from the Bakery Lane Soup Bowl Cookbook published in 1976. You and I made it for Thanksgiving once! I recently came across an apple recipe I’d like to try, but I don’t remember where it was. A sign that I’ve accumulated too many cookbooks, magazines and newsletters?
Karen’s Question to Ray:
Q: What is your favorite variety of apple?
A: Two come to mind. I love the flavor and level of sweetness in a Fuji apple, and when I want something more on the tart side, I almost always reach for a Granny Smith.
