Welcome to the place where your two bloggers ask each other one question each week. We hope you enjoy them as your learn a bit more about us – sometimes we even learn more about each other!
Ray’s question to Karen:
Q: What are you favorite holiday cookies to make and/or eat?
A: I would have to say the family sugar cookie recipe. It’s a great cookie, but what makes it the most fun is to see the entire family emerge to take part in cutting and decorating them. Few things engage everyone in the family they way cookie decorating does!
Karen’s Question to Ray:
Q: When I first married Tom I had to get used to the fact that he hates onions. Any cooking I did needed to either eliminate or greatly reduce the amount of onions used (he has become slightly more tolerant of cooked onions over the years, but not completely). Is there anything similar you’ve experienced in your family to accommodate strong opinions about certain foods?
A: Luckily I have few limitations when it comes to Lori. In fact, when I first started cooking for her she told me how much she enjoyed all of the flavor that was in the food I made because when she grew up “herbs” generally consisted of salt and pepper! The one thing I have to avoid is olives – she’s not a fan. That doesn’t really get in the way though like with you having to avoid onions because how often do you really cook with olives?
